My favorite brunch/lunch spot in Ahwatukee. We love the omelets, breakfast burritos, and mimosas are with fresh OJ. Service is always great and friendly. Also kid and dog friendly!

Food is consistently awesome. I usually come in at least once a week for breakfast. But lunch/dinner are also great with fantastic salads, carne asada & burgers. Staff is the best & they take care of everyone despite often being crazy busy. By far the best breakfast spot in West Chandler/Ahwatukee!

I stumbled across Hillside because I showed up an hour too early for the farmers market down the street (opposite ends of a small plaza). I spotted the "cafe" sign and decided a coffee shop would be a great option to fill the time than driving home and driving back (I live 5 minutes away). To my surprise, I was welcomed by walls full of beers and wine bottles before the huge menu of coffee options caught my attention. I almost changed my mind and bought half a dozen of beers instead lol!! And then I realized it was only 8:15am. I came to my senses and ended up with a cup of cappuccino. The ratio of coffee and milk was on point and I was satisfied. I can't rate the dine-in service just yet, but the couple short interactions I had with the barista and the cashier was good. Hopefully I will be able to come back soon for an actual breakfast.

This place always hits the spot! I've been coming here for years and the food is always good. Today I tried the crepes and they were delicious. You can't go wrong with the iced chai and breakfast menu here!!

Beer: Mother Earth - Cali creamin' Delicious! Went well with my meal. Food: I had the 50/50 so, half a salad and half a sandwich. The sandwich was the bbq pork. It was really really good with pear sliced thinly inside, not overwhelmed by cheese. It didn't get sloppy at all or fall apart as I ate it. My salad was the Brooklyn chop which was full of cucumbers, pistachios, sun dried tomatoes, and more! Full of flavor! I would be happy to eat a full portion of either of these! My boyfriend had the farmers omelette and said it was great, don't forget to get hash browns because the side of fruit is a little small. Service: very nice waiter Restaurant overall: Good amount of seating, nice and cool inside. Great beer selection as you walk in. Wasn't super busy on a Wednesday afternoon. Nice patio to sit on if you'd like to be outside. Has misters to keep you cool. Most of it is shaded.

7 years since the last review. I did not ever live here yet! Hillside Spot has consistently been the best place to eat for us over the last 7 years! We have tried almost everything on the menu and have not found one thing wrong, or lacking in any way with any of the meals we were served. My favorite is the 50/50. I like to get a sandwich or salad with whatever soup they are serving that month. Again have always been impressed with whatever the soup is and adding a salad or sandwich to the makes it just the right amount of food. I am diabetic and my hubby is pre-diabetic, so the most wonderful thing for us is that we can order great-tasting food and not worry about our blood sugars getting out of control. Yes, we try to stay away from fries, chips, etc but Hillside offers fruit or salad as great alternative sides to choose from. Although their fries are delicious, we will share them once in a while. Choices! That is what we love most about Hillside Spot. Service is always good. I like that they hover on the periphery and are not interrupting with questions, but are there when needed. Finally the beer list. The beer selection is very good. Hubby likes to have one once in a while and the selection is great. Even have Wren House!
